Happy Guest Comments!

"Thanks for remembering us!  Our flight are crazy this year (we used FF miles) so we are going to Akumal and Isla instead.  We plan on doing Merida and Yucatan in 2013 and promise to be in touch then re: tours.  Thanks for following up – you have great customer service!"

Full Itinerary Longer Yucatan Tours

For those of you reading this blog on a regular basis and those who are new to the site, did you know that we now can organize your entire Yucatan trip? In the past month or so, we have had three such requests, one coming from as far away as Thailand!

The couple from Thailand did the entire Yucatan peninsula, arriving in Cancun where we picked them up and they visited Tulum and Coba before moving inland to Valladolid, Izamal, Chichen Itza and Ek Balam. Arriving in Merida they spent one night here before heading to Campeche where they visited Edzna, Calakmul and other sites in the area. They went as far as Palenque and then back to Villahermosa Tabasco where they caught a flight to Mexico City to continue touring there. The whole trip lasted about 10 days in this area.

Another couple were whisked away from Cancun to explore Merida, Valladolid, Campeche and then back to Playa del Carmen; they were with us for about a week.

Finally, a group from Canada stayed for 10 days in one of the magnificent haciendas run by the folks from Banamex (think Temozon, Santa Rosa, Puerta Campeche etc) and had us tour them around on a daily basis.

So you see, it's not just one day excursions or tours anymore. We can help you plan an excellent holiday in the Yucatan, which you can see from the comfort of your own private car and driver service, going at your own pace without waiting on anyone.

Hacienda Exploration Day Trip (Part III)

Continuing the day that we started here (http://lawsonsdriving.blogspot.com/2012/01/hacienda-exploration-day-trip-part-1.html) and after our wedding stop at Tecoh, the next place to visit was the spectacularly peaceful and completely private hacienda Itzincab de Camara. This property you can rent for you and your little group; it only has about 7 bedrooms and is not a hotel. They will make meals for you if you wish or help you in the kitchen, basically you have the run of the place during the time you are here. Fully staffed with wonderful friendly people.

Enjoy the photos!

Hacienda Exploration Day Trip (Part II)

After visiting the haciendas Tepich and in-progress Kankirixche, we headed towards our next destination, which was the hacienda Itzincab de Camara, located near Sotuta de Peon and a private hacienda that can be rented completely or partially for your group or family. It is not a hotel; rather, it is your own private estate and you have staff and services at your service 24 hours a day. Very posh.

But before we arrived there, we made a quick stop in one of my favorite towns, Tecoh, with its fabulous little church and positive, friendly vibe. We were treated to a wedding happening and were able to squeeze off a few discrete photos from a respectful distance.
