Doubleheader - Sotuta de Peon Hacienda AND Uxmal
Immediately we took the scenic route along Calle 59 to the periferico and then out to the Sotuta de Peon hacienda, arriving a little early.
After the tour, lunch at the hacienda where good Yucatecan food was enjoyed by all: cheese empanadas, coconut creams, poc chuc and cochinita pibil.
Then, off to Uxmal via the back road which is always exciting since it consists of one and a half lanes until we came to Temozon hacienda and then out to the highway to Uxmal.
After the ruins, a refreshing pool awaited everyone back in Merida at the hotel.
